Let’s face it beautiful flowers in varying hues, creates excitement and energy from the moment guests enter the ceremony. Nothing sets the tone better. From the ceremony, to the personal bouquets or boutonnieres, to cocktail hour and on into the reception, Flowers create magic.
If flowers aren’t your thing, no worries. Think about flower sized blocks of color made of paper, fabric or other materials, grouped together like an arrangement. The key here is drawing guests attention to blocks of color that enhances the spirit of the day.
There’s a reason hours, days…months are spent looking for the perfect wedding outfit. It matters. What everyone wears is a big deal and an important part of your day’s vibe. We love cake. We love to see cakes; We especially love to eat cake. Your cake is not only part of the celebration but in itself, a masterpiece, so give it its own special table. Think of ways to make it shine with fresh or dried flowers, candles and lighting it from above. Include something to cut it with, a napkin to wipe away icing and a plate or two so you can sample this stunning work of art.
Guests spend the most time sitting at the reception table, so don’t skimp here. They should not only be beautiful, but interactive too. When deciding decorations, picture of your quietest, most introverted guest and think of ways to get them involved. Give them something to do or look at like a menu or program if entertainment is on the agenda. Don’t forget the senses. Not only do guest see the table, but they will touch an explore it too. So, think in textures, surfaces, napkins, tablecloths, containers. Include things that are rough, soft, cool, warm or lightly scented. When one guest encounters the delightfully unexpected, you can bet they will share it with the rest and voila! You’ve got yourself a party enjoyed by all and talked about for years to come!
